|Recommended: YesQuiet, private living. — Out of the three apartment complexes I've lived at in the past 5 years, I have enjoyed Briarcliffe the most. The interior is spacious and nice, with plenty of storage, but most of all I love how private it feels. I have one of the townhomes and like that I have a front door to walk right into, instead f a hallway though the apartments are nice too . My only complaint is that it's been pretty drafty this winter, but that's nothing a sweater won't fix. You're in charge of your own heat bill. Control your destiny.

|Recommended: YesLove living at Briarcliffe — i would recommend these apartments to anyone convenient location and good neighborhood
|Recommended: YesI love it here but some things could be improved. — I love it here but some things could be improved. These are older buildings that could use some updating especially the windows and doors which would probably fix the heating and installation issues. Also, rent should not go up with no changes present from year to year. The speed bumps and the pot holes are still present are bad but I am assuming they will be repaired again. Great staff. Great maintenance. You can't beat the price for the space.
|Recommended: YesDiamond in the Rough — The apartment didn't pop up originally on our apartment search, but I'm glad we stumbled upon it. I regularly used the river trail access for walks and runs. The layout of the townhouse was great and we loved he big window in the living room. Could use more lighting, but other than that I would recommend.
|Recommended: YesOne of the best places I've lived — My husband and I are very happy here. The staff are all super friendly, maintenance orders are taken care of right away, and our apartment is very spacious and comfortable. My only complaints are a when in the basement, the neighbors walking around next door sound as if they're right above us although the main and upper floor are much more soundproof and b some of our apartment isn't very updated old and inaccurate thermostat, hot water knobs that become almost too hot to touch even when the cold water is also on, and a couple of other things. I believe these things just get updated as needed, so it's not a huge concern and I doubt most of the apartments have these problems, but it is an old complex so you never know. Overall, we plan on renewing our lease for at least a couple years. Our apartment two-bedroom town home is about 60 more expensive than our previous place and over double the amount of space, and we are very happy with it.
|Recommended: YesIt's definitely not bad, especially for the price. — It's inexpensive and staff are helpful.
|Recommended: YesReview — I love living at Briarcliffe and I plan on living here next year. Its very affordable and the staff is very helpful. However if there is one complaint I have it is that the gym is very outdated and allot of the equipment doesn't work or doesn't work as good as it should. I was very disappointed with the gym the first time I used it and discovered that half the stuff I planned on using when I moved in didn't work properly.
|Recommended: YesOverall the property is great — Started in a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 years which was very, very spacious with a ton of storage. Recently upgraded to a 2 bedroom townhouse within the community and I'm in love Both the apartments and townhouse have a ton of space, which you can't beat it for the price - I've looked at a ton of properties. There's a lot of turnover in the office, but that's normal for any apartment property, the staff is always pretty friendly, and will find out answers to questions if they don't know them right away, instead of making something up. They have great follow through and have been very easy to work with during my transition into a townhouse. There was quite a bit of noise in the apartment building when I lived there, but no more than would be expected anywhere else, with being so close to MSU it seemed like there were a lot of students, so that's kind of the norm. Townhouse walls are super thin, so you can hear the neighbors, but, with the layout the bedroom isn't effected by it, so it doesn't keep me awake or anything. Parking can be tricky, because there are no carports, and no way to reserve spaces through the leasing office - but, even parked in a lot over, you're not too far from your door. My only issue with that is that the lighting in the parking lot isn't great, but, I've never felt unsafe. One of the maintenance guys, Carl, is THE BEST. You can tell he wants to make sure residents are happy, and goes out of his way a ton 2 winters ago he'd jump my car at 5am when he'd be out shoveling just so I could get to work on time. I do wish the amount owed would appear sooner on the resident portal, especially with the early raffles they do. Rent stays the same month-to-month for the most part with just a change in utility pricing, so I don't understand why they can't add the rent on as soon as the utilities are posted in order to pay early, but, it's not that big of a deal Would definitely recommend
|Recommended: YesWonderful Quiet Place to Live - Great Prices! — Compared to many other complexes the square footage for the price is very fair! It also includes a free work-out room, sauna and indoor/outdoor pool. The staff is amazing to deal with. I asked before I signed a lease if certain small items could be done for me by the maintenance staff and everything was done which another complex wouldn't do! My apartment faces the wooded park which is really nice, like the country where I moved from to get closer to work. This is a nice place to live even though the building are older, they are maintained pretty well and update flooring as needed.
|Recommended: YesNice apartment complex — Very nice apartment complex, friendly neighbors, and great staff. I love the pool and amenities, I am in and end unit townhouse, but in my experience it is very quiet. I love it here.
|Recommended: YesGreat price for the amount of space — Friendly staff, quick maintenance team and an amazing amount of space for the price you pay.
|Recommended: YesI've lived at Briarcliffe for three years and for the cost, it meets my needs. The townhouse is very spacious compared to local apartments. — I enjoy the space ... 1300 sq ft is much better than most other rentals in the Lansing area. It is an older community; but, the maintenance crew is always very prompt to responding to my needs.
|Recommended: YesGreat place to live — Good location, nice grounds, good value for the large space you get.
|Recommended: YesHelpful, clean, friendly, — I would tell someone to live at Briarcliffe. I like the convenience of the available fitness center, the maintenance staff is very nice, always saying hi, the grounds are clean, the apartments are nice, and someone is always able to come out and fix anything that is broken with no hassle and rent is affordable.
